In New Mexico, redistricting plans are enacted by the legislature and are subject to a gubernatorial veto. New Mexico has an advisory redistricting commission which submits maps to the legislature for consideration, but ultimately the legislature and governor make the decision of what maps to adopt. Democrats control the legislature and the Governor's office.
