Redistricting Plans: Illinois

In Illinois, congressional redistricting plans are enacted by the legislature subject to gubernatorial veto. The legislature also has the responsibility to enact state legislative districts, but if it fails to do so, the responsibility falls to an eight-member commission. Democrats control the legislature and the Governor's office.
